My diet is done for now, only lasted for 6 days but I am happy it lasted even that long 🙂 I am going to continue to limit myself and not over eat but sometimes you just can´t deny yourself delicious yummy foods. Right?
This morning I woke up and I wanted something good for breakfast. And I decided to make danishes, I have never made them before, so I was very interested. I saw the recipe on FB the other day and I was very intrigued.
I kind of cheated and did not make my own dough, Pillsbury kind of helped me out with the crescent roll dough. Amen to that because it made my life a lot easier. Eventually I would like to make my own dough as well.
Oh boy and did they ever come out delicious.
For 5 danishes:
1 CRESCENT ROLL TUBE
1/2 PACKAGE OF PHILLY CREAM CHEESE (SOFTENED)
1/2 CUP POWDERED SUGAR
1 TEASPOON PURE VANILLA EXTRACT
2 TSP BUTTER (FULLY MELTED)
1 TSP BROWN SUGAR
*I used the entire package of cream cheese and used the leftovers for just simple little cheesecakes
GLAZE:
1/2 CUP POWDERED SUGAR
1 TEASPOON PURE VANILLA EXTRACT
4 TEASPOONS OF MILK
- Mix Cream Cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
- Open your crescent roll tube but don´t unroll it, use a sharp knife to cut 5 equal pieces of dough
- Use your fingers to make a round shape and put it on a non stick baking sheet (or on a parchment paper). Push the middle of the dough down with a coffee mug or a measuring cup to create a small wall to hold the cream cheese filling
- Melt the butter with brown sugar and brush the little dough cups with the mixture
- Add the cream cheese to the cups and BAKE at 350 F for 16-18 minutes
- Make glaze – mix all the ingredients together and stir until smooth
- Let cool and drizzle with glaze
Enjoy!
The little cheesecakes: Just put the cream cheese mixture into the muffin tins and bake for 20-25 minutes.
