Missy had a birthday, again!

Every year on this day, June 21st, we do something special for our puppy dog. I mean, she is a spoiled dog, we do special things for her every day  BUT today was her birthday!

She turned 6! A big girl already. I remember when we got her, she threw up in the car on our way home and I asked what did I got myself into lol

She is a handful and needs a lot of love and takes almost all our energy because she is also very needy 🙂 As needy as dog can be!

She also takes all our money because she attends day-care where she has fun all day long while we are at work earning money lol  But we love her so much! I am a proud dog mom 🙂

Anyways, I have made a cake or a muffin the previous years. This year I decided to bake cookies instead.

Missy´s birthday cookies:

½ cup Peanut Butter
2 cups  Flour
1 cup powdered Oats
1 cup Hot Chicken Broth
2 Tbsp Olive Oil

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Place oats in food processor and grind until they are almost at a powder/flour consistency.

Combine peanut butter, hot chicken broth and olive oil in a sauce pan. Stir until dissolved in medium heat.

Pour liquid into a stand mixer and stir in ground oatmeal and flour until well combined.

Place dough on a powdered surface and roll out to a 1/4” thickness.

Cut out shapes with cookie cutters. Bake 10 minutes in 350 F.

For the icing:

4 Tbsp flour

4-5 tbsp  water

4 small strawberries

You will see if you need to add more water. The consistency should be runny but not too runny! I added strawberries because I wanted pink icing but didn´t want to use the food colouring.  It turned out ok and it dried within an hour.

Missy was very happy with the cookies.

I got 30 cookies out of this recipe and it was easy to make them. It was hard to put the icing on these little bones but I haven´t had the practice lately!

You can save them in your fridge for 2 weeks in an air-tight container!
