Baked beans



Prep time 15-20 minutes

Total Time 6-8 hours


3,5 cups of dried white navy beans, soaked prevously for 8 hours
1 cup ketchup
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup molasses
1 large or 2 small onions, chopped
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
6 strips of uncooked bacon, diced

Mix all the ingredients together in your slow cooker, cover and let simmer on low 6-8 hours until the beans are ready.


There are so many ways to eat baked beans – on a toast, with your eggs, with meat…..but I prefer eating my beans with rice 😉
