Peaches and cream crepes

Recently I found another website to submit a pictures for a food challenge.  It’s starting to become like work.  Hunting down challenges and submitting.  I love it!  This one was for Food Network.

FOOD NETWORK RECIPE – This was the first time I actually followed a recipe for crepes.  For the last 4 years, I have made crepes at least once per week, but I wanted to see if they would come out even better by following a recipe.  I was wrong, it came out thicker and lumpy.  I did exactly as the recipe called for. I know very well how liquidy a crepe batter must be for them to turn out perfect by just letting it pour out of the spoon.

I ended up making two crepes with their recipe and then added milk to the batter.  I don’t know how much because I normally don’t measure anything for crepes recipes…Usually I just whisk 2-3 eggs with sugar, add flour and milk and then I’ll see how the batter looks and add whatever else is needed, either more flour or more milk. Very simple and they taste great! No water, no butter, no salt, no vanilla extract.


Apparently the judges did not like our image but we did get published online.
